Ozzfest Returns to Milton Keynes Bowl on 10 July 2027

Ozzfest will be staged at the Milton Keynes Bowl on Saturday, July 10, as part of its 2027 edition. It is the first Ozzfest since Ozzy Osbourne died in the summer of 2025, and the first since 2018.

A festival that began in 1996

Ozzfest began in 1996. Over the late 90s and 2000s it grew into a major touring metal event, and Slipknot, System Of A Down and Disturbed all got an early stage there.

The most recent edition was on New Year's Eve 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, DevilDriver and Ozzy himself played.

Sharon Osbourne has said why the first run stopped. Managers and agents kept asking for more, and the festival stopped paying its way. In 2023 she said it did make a profit, just not one anyone could retire on.

Why Villa Park is out

Sharon, Ozzy's widow and manager, first talked about reviving the festival earlier this year. She said it would “absolutely” return with Ozzy's blessing. Weeks before he died at 76, he played his farewell concert, Back To The Beginning, at Villa Park.

That stadium was the plan again. Construction is the problem: Villa Park will not be ready for live shows this summer. Sharon said the choice was to relocate or postpone for another year, and she chose Milton Keynes.

She said Ozzy was the first to launch his own travelling metal festival, and that Ozzfest will always remain part of his legacy.

Tickets and the team

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, November 6. Producer and manager Andy Copping worked with Sharon on Back To The Beginning and is on board again. He said he was thrilled to bring the festival back to the UK, to the National Bowl where it all started.

The Bowl has hosted other events since. Yungblud staged his own festival, BludFest, there in 2024, and The Prodigy have also played the venue.

Dates in the US and Mexico

The UK show is not the only one. A US date was announced earlier, at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino on September 11.

The first Mexico edition follows on September 18, at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City.
